Terms & Conditions

All bookings are made with Baraka Trails Ltd. By booking a tour with Baraka Trails Ltd the client agrees with this Terms & Conditions.

1. DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT 

If not otherwise agreed with the client, the tour price is payable as follows:

A 10% deposit is required to secure a booking (non refundable). This deposit forms part of the payment for the tour and shall be offset to the total amount charged to the client.Only after receipt of the deposit, the booking is considered confirmed. 

Clients booking within four (4) weeks of the start of the tour full payment required.

The outstanding balance of the tour price is payable in cash/ CREDIT CARD after arrival in Tanzania (before the start of the tour).

All bank charges of 5% are to be settled by the client. This includes transaction fees charged by bank. Should bank charges have been deducted, we would have to invoice the client subsequently.

Day trips & short tours, which are not combined with other tours (safaris, trekkings etc.), may be paid on the date of the tour in cash.

2. BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Our contract

All bookings are made with licensed franchisees in Tanzania through payment link or Bank, trading as Baraka Trails Ltd. By booking a trip with us you are deemed to have agreed to these Booking Conditions (which constitutes the entire agreement between you and us) and your booking will be accepted by us on this basis. The services to be provided are those referred to in your booking confirmation invoice.

Booking Amendments 

For amendments of existing bookings done by the client (e.g. change of travel dates, accommodations, number of participants etc its free. If the booking amendment incure additional costs (e.g. changes of already booked accommodations), the additional costs will be charged to the customer.

3. CANCELLATION POLICY

 Booking condition (including refund and cancellation) 

A client may cancel/ postpone their booking by notifying Baraka Trails Adventure. The applicable cancellation fees shall be determined with reference to the date on which the request to cancel is received by Baraka Trails Adventure and are expressed hereinafter as a percentage of the total price paid for the cancelled tour.

For cancellation policy we are easy company. 

(a) Cancellation received 35 days or more before the tour starts: No Cancellation Fees will be charged except the transfer cost.

(b) Cancellation received 11 – 34 days before the tour starts: 30% Cancellation Fee will be charged

(C) Cancellation received 3 – 10 days before the tour starts: 50% Cancellation Fee will be charged

(d) Cancellation received within 48hrs before the tours starts: 100% Cancellation Fee will be charged

(e) Tailor-made tours may be subject to alternative cancellation terms, which will be communicated to applicable clients at the time of booking.

For Safaris in Uganda, Rwanda & Kenya 

  • 120 days and above before departure – Cancellation fees will be equal to the cost for Gorilla and Chimp Permits
  • 90 to 119 days before departure – 10% of the total tour price will be charged as cancellation fees plus the cost for Gorilla and Chimp Permits
  • 45 to 89 days before departure – 20% of the total tour price will be charged as cancellation fees plus the cost for Gorilla and Chimp Permits
  • 0 to 34 days before departure – 30% of the total tour price will be charged as cancellation fees plus the cost for Gorilla and Chimp Permits
  • In all cases, there is no refund for Gorilla Permits or Chimp Permits

4. TRAVEL INSURANCE

Baraka trails Adventure does not provide travel insurance therefore the client must obtain travel insurance from their home country with the minimum recommended medical, evacuation, and repatriation coverage covering all applicable dates of any travel with Baraka trails Adventure and this insurance must cover personal injury and emergency medical expenses. It is strongly recommended that clients also extend their coverage to include cancellation and all other expenses that might arise as a result of loss, damage, injury, delay or inconvenience occurring to the client. The cost of the tour does not include any insurance coverage for the client, and that the client is required to obtain separate coverage at an additional cost to the tour price. When obtaining travel insurance the client must ensure the insurer is aware of the type of travel to be undertaken so that the insurer may properly cover travel on the applicable tour.

5. MEDICAL CONDITIONS

All clients are obligated to truthfully provide requested relevant medical information to Baraka Trails Adventure upon booking their tour. Clients are responsible for assessing their own suitability and capability to participate a tour with us. All clients should consult their physician regarding their fitness for taking part in the booked tour. Baraka trails Adventure recommends all clients to seek their physician’s advice regarding necessary or advisable vaccinations, medical precautions, or other medical concerns regarding the entirety of the client’s travel with Baraka trails Adventure. Baraka trails Adventure does not provide medical advice.

Adventure tours provided by Baraka trails Adventure involve visiting remote or less developed regions of Tanzania, where medical facilities may not meet the standards of those found in a client’s home country. The condition of medical facilities in these areas varies and Baraka trails Adventure makes no representations and gives no warranties in relation to the standard of such facilities or medical treatment in those regions.

6. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Baraka Trails Adventure will strive to accommodate the special requests of clients, including (without limitation) dietary and accommodation requests, but such requests do not form part of these Terms and Conditions or the contract between the client and Baraka Trails Adventure and Baraka Trails Adventure is not liable for any failure to accommodate or fulfill such requests.
