Mount Kenya is the highest mountain in Kenya and the second-highest in Africa, after Kilimanjaro. It is located in the central part of the country, near the equator, and is an inactive volcano that last erupted about 3 million years ago. 

The mountain is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is also home to several endangered species of plants and animals. There are several hiking and climbing routes to the summit, with the most popular being the Naro Moru route. The mountain is also of great cultural significance to the Kikuyu people, who believe it to be the home of their god, Ngai.
